Church View is a bright, sunny property located on a pretty street near to the church, just minutes from the quay and beautiful Buttlands. The cottage is decorated in a coastal style with a large dining area and comfortable, double aspect lounge. WiFi and towels included.
The ground floor has a large hall leading to the kitchen and lounge/diner, with double doors onto the garden for the summer months and a cosy gas fired burner for the winter. Completely refitted in January 2020, the kitchen overlooks the garden and is well appointed with quality Bosch and Neff appliances including dishwasher, washing machine, microwave and plenty of useful cooking equipment . There is also a downstairs toilet.
Upstairs, the light-filled master bedroom has a king size bed, large fitted wardrobe and drawers and a pretty view of the 16 th century Alms houses opposite. The twin bedroom is generously sized with two single beds and more fitted wardrobes and drawers. The single bedroom contains a single bed and a wooden cotbed, perfect for babies and toddlers who don’t settle well in a travel cot! Please bring your own bedding if you wish to use the cotbed. A travel cot is also available if preferred.
There is also a bright family bathroom with a shower over the bath, toilet and basin.

French doors opening onto a large, enclosed garden with summer house and light for evening dining, two dining furniture sets and barbeque available for guest use. Very safe for children to play as entirely enclosed with a lockable gate. Outdoor tap for rinsing sandy toes or muddy boots!

Church View is a 5-minute walk from the centre of Wells-next-the-Sea, a beautiful coastal town, packed with lovely shops, cafes, pubs and restaurants. The town offers a great base to enjoy this stunning stretch of coastline, taking in the large, sandy beaches, unrivalled nature spotting opportunities and
delicious food and drink.
The town is well known for the stunning sandy beach and long line of colourful beach huts, which is accessible by an easy 1-mile walk or the narrow-gauge railway at the quay. Excellent walks along the coast paths, which offer the opportunity to spot rare birds, flora and fauna. Holkham Hall and Holkham
beach only 1.5 miles down the road and have beautiful walks available around the estate, along with interesting activities year-round within the hall and a large, good quality adventure playground with ropes course. There are boat trips from the quay to tour the harbor, fishing expeditions and also boat
trips to visit the seals at Blakney Nature Reserve.
The town has lots of fantastic pubs and restaurants, all only a few minutes’ walk away from Church View. Just around the corner from the cottage, the Buttlands has two pubs serving great food overlooking the stunning Georgian square. There are also some famous fish and chip shops on the quay and a brilliant seafood restaurant – The Crab House – serving local crab, lobster, mussels and oysters.
The main shopping street – Staithe Street- is 5 minutes’ walk and boasts a butcher, deli, bakery, fishmonger and pharmacy. There is also a large convenience shop at the top of Staithe Street (Leftleys) and a Co-op on the way into the town, just by the petrol station.
