1 Double bedroom and 3 Single beds
A wonderful detached cottage, Number 9 has been fully renovated, to ensure you have a comfortable stay.
The Living Area has a round dining table with 4 stools underneath. There are 2 sofas, seating 3 each and a footstool. If your dog normally sits with you on the sofa we do have a couple of throws that can be placed on the sofas, A large smart TV is wall mounted, above the gas fireplace. The TV has free view, and is able to access all stations like Netflix etc. The downstairs floor has limestone porcelain tiles, so there is no need to worry about dirty paws or sandy toes!
The Kitchen is adjacent to the living area, it has been fully refitted with painted grey cupboards and a solid wood worktop. A large freestanding fridge freezer, microwave, toaster, kettle, electric double oven, hob, extractor fan and dishwasher complete the spec in the kitchen. There is plenty of storage, and a good supply of tea towels! A welcome pack will be left here to get you started on your holiday.
The Family Bathroom is upstairs and recently refitted, the bathroom is very spacious. It has a large walk in corner shower unit, with drenching shower head. A separate full size bath, freestanding sink unit, toilet and vanity unit. The original floorboards are exposed, and there are numerous bath mats. Bath and hand towels will also be provided, but these must not be taken to the beach.
The Largest Bedroom has three full size, single, dormitory style beds, which are perfect for children and teenagers. A large triple wardrobe, dressing table and chair, a double chest of drawers and a couple of bedside tables. Above each of the beds is an individual reading light. Under one of the beds is a storage case for any extra bits.
Second Bedroom is the master bedroom, it is a little snug, but alongside the double bed, are bedside shelves for your morning cup of coffee! Both of the bedrooms and the stairs are carpeted. The stairs are relatively steep, but they have a sturdy handrail and a door at the bottom, discouraging doggies or young children climbing up when you aren't looking.
The cottage has traditional wooden shutters in all rooms except the kitchen and bathroom which have Roman blinds.
WiFi is supplied by Sky and is unlimited. The central heating and hot water is controlled very simply by a nest thermostat, situated in the living area. The boiler is in the utility room and was replaced in July 2019. It has been serviced by a fully registered gas engineer.
A plastic dog bed, and food bowls are available, though please bring your own dog blankets and towels.
There is a small enclosed front garden, just big enough for a quiet coffee and a read of the paper on the bistro set outside. It is south facing and has the sun all day long. Who needs a big garden when you have the beach as your playground?
There is unfortunately NO PARKING at number 9. There is however, a perfect solution to this negative - the car park in East Runton which is only 200m away allows you to buy a weekly ticket for just £28. This parking ticket is valid in a multitude of car parks along the coast.
The location is superb, tucked away off of the main high street in East Runton, but literally a stones throw from the beach (less than 300m). The beach has a mixture of sand and pebbles, and has blue flag status. There are also RNLI lifeguards on duty during the summer months.
In East Runton there is a Pub, Fish and Chip shop, an American Restaurant, Village shop, and Butchers. Cromer is roughly a miles walk, either along the beach or on the clifftop. In the other direction is West Runton and Sheringham. There are plenty of restaurants in Cromer, and of course loads of activities, for children; ranging from a paint your own pottery shop, to crabbing on the pier.
