It is in an area of Outstanding Natural Beauty and is very popular with walking enthusiasts and bird watchers. The village is set next to the Coastal Path and has good shops and facilities including a smoke house, renowned delicatessen, two public houses, restaurant, book shop and art galleries. There is the NWT Cley Marshes Nature Reserve which is internationally acclaimed and excellent sailing from Blakeney & Morston.
