The 'Four-poster' first floor, double room has a large en-suite bathroom with corner bath. The view from the bed and the sofa is stunning. (please book "Queen's Warehouse" if you are travelling with a pet or a child)
The 'Captain's Quarters' first floor, double room with king-size bed has a view to the East over the creeks. It has its own, private bathroom just 2 steps across the quiet landing. (please book "Queen's Warehouse" if you are travelling with a pet or a child)
The 'Queen's Warehouse' ground floor, twin bedded room has its own access to the yard. There is a small dinette, with sink, fridge and microwave and an en-suite bathroom with shower. This room is suitable for guests with restricted mobility, guests travelling with a small child and also guests travelling with pets.
Breakfast is cooked to order using fresh, local produce. A typical menu includes fresh fruit salad, yoghurt and cereals, a choice of traditional English breakfast, smoked haddock or croissants, followed by locally-baked bread, toasted, with homemade jams and marmalade. Cafetière coffee, teas and juices are in constant supply and special diets are willingly catered for.
We have off-road parking for three cars.
The town with its amenities and shops is a short walk away, the creeks and marshes are at the end of the yard and the beach is a 1 mile journey by foot, boat, bike, train or car.
The East Quay is a quiet extension of the main quay with houses on one side and the main creek on the other. The coming and going of the tide, the movements and antics of the many fishing and pleasure boats and the rich variety of wildlife offer a never-ending, fascinating spectacle.
Wells has a thriving shopping street including a bakery, a greengrocer, a butcher, a delicatessen, a small, but well stocked, supermarket and several gift shops. They are all open 7 days a week and offer a wide choice of good fresh produce.
