The Old Stables is a spacious private country cottage sleeping 4 in the main cottage and 4 in the annex, 8 in total. It is 2 miles from the lovely Georgian town of Holt and 5 miles from the north Norfolk coast. The river Glaven runs 300 yards from the cottage.
The cottage is equipped to a high standard with fast wifi.
Downstairs the spacious kitchen has an aga, oven, hob, dishwasher and dining area for 8. An additional relaxing area in the kitchen has a sofa, 2 armchairs and a TV. There is ample storage in the boot room for pets, coats and boots.
Also downstairs is a twin bedroom which can be made into a super King with a bathroom opposite that has a bath and shower.
Upstairs is a large cozy sitting room with an open fire, comfortable sofas and lovely views across the fields. There are numerous books and magazines to read, a tv and DVDs.
The generous upstairs master bedroom has a super King bed and ensuite shower room with underfloor heating.
Situated across a small lawn is the annex. This has a spacious hallway. The large bedroom has a super King bed and small kitchenette with kettle, fridge and sink. The small twin room has trundle beds and the new small shower room has underfloor heating.
The swimming pool is accessed from a locked annex door (to make the pool area as child proof as possible) and sits in a private garden. All annex Windows have child locks. The pool is heated from mid May until mid September. Children under the age of 14 must be accompanied by an adult in the pool area Dogs are not allowed Upstairs, in any bedrooms or in the pool!
The secure courtyard lawned garden has a patio, garden furniture and a BBQ. There is parking for up to 2 cars.
The rear garden is accessed via the annex and has a lawn, fruit trees, patio with seating for 8, further benches and a table. The swimming pool is heated from mid May until mid September.
We are 1 mile from Holt and 4 miles from the north Norfolk coast
(Salt house, Cley, Blakeney, Morston, Wells).
There are numerous excellent pubs/cafes nearby the Kings Head (walkable), Wiveton Arms, Wiveston Cafe, Morston Hall.
The nearby Back to the Garden farmshop is excellent.
Lovely walks from the house and the nearby river Glaven is very popular with children and dogs.
