Dairy Cottage is part of Flaxman Farm, which is a complex of six cottages and a farm house that were originally part of the Felbrigg Estate.
Built in the 1700's and listed, the cottage is a romantic hideaway and a home from home.
Dairy Cottage is very comfortable and welcoming, with many old beams, a very well equipped kitchen, and a warm bathroom with an over bath electric shower.
The lounge and kitchen are open plan with lots of pictures of the area. There is also a lovely comfy bedroom to snuggle down in at the end of the day. The cottage has Wi-Fi. Tv, Blue ray and a selection of DVDs.
The area is Idea for walkers and the cottage has plenty of walking books to read and maps to plan your walks with.
North Norfolk is also a great place to go bird watching and we do often have bird watchers stay at the cottage.
If you feel like being a whizz in the kitchen there are plenty of old Norfolk recipes to hand.
In the evening the lighting in the cottage can be altered from a bright light for reading to a romantic upward glow.
If you are bringing a four legged member of the family we just ask that you keep to just one very large dog or up to three little toy dogs simply due to the size of this lovely little cottage. If you are not sure please just ask, that is what we are here for.
There is a footpath from the parking area up to a private wood which is ideal for the early morning stroll. not far away are dog friendly beaches one that we use has a pub overlooking the beach and the owners are happy for you to take the four legged member of your family in after your beach stroll.
1 Double bedroom
There is an 'old world' type forecourt and ample parking.
There is a little foot path, from the car parking area, up to a private wood called the Rookery, Which is still owned by the family that once owned Flaxman Farm, they are, however, quite happy for our guests to walk the little wood, which is ideal for the early morning stroll.
There is a wooden bench outside the cottage where you can sit on sunny days with a coffee, also in the cottage is a small unfolding wooden table and chair set which are for setting outside, maybe for afternoon tea.
The windows all overlook the old farm courtyard and the original old farmhouse.
The cottage is a situated a short drive from the sea. and an ideal base to explore the north Norfolk countryside.
Adjacent to The Felbrigg Estate the cottage is perfect for walkers.
This is a wonderful area for bird watchers , and the beaches around Norfolk are some of the finest to walk.
Norfolk also has some of the largest skies, (you will see what I mean), ideal for looking at our 'sky at night'.
