Situated on the Sunrise coast of Norfolk, White Horses Beach House offers everything you could want and more, thanks to its stunning location overlooking the sea and unspoilt sand dunes stretching as far as the eye can see.
The house is welcoming, and very comfortable, White Horses is filled with quirky beach life charm, from full size surf boards hung on the walls, to a look-out room in the eves, making it the perfect place to create unforgettable memories of lazy sunny days.
Private steps lead from the lawn down to the beach. The views from both the house and the garden are captivating, especially when the sunlight reflects off the sea. A telescope is available for guests to spot ships and sailing yachts as they cruise by!
White Horses features all principal rooms on the ground floor, including three bedrooms:
A Super King bedroom with a smart TV, trouser press, En-suite shower /WC,
Two King-size bedrooms—one with a smart TV and sea view/ patio doors.
The two King bedrooms share a 'Jack & Jill' shower/WC ensuite.
Family WC & washbasin
Upstairs, there are three single beds in a triple bedroom.
The beds are adorned with beautiful crisp cotton bed linen, and luxurious white fluffy towels are provided (please remember to bring your beach & pet towels!) The bedrooms are tastefully decorated with stylish, comfortable beds, equipped with fitted wardrobes. A small secure safe for personal items is available in the property, and all bedrooms have hairdryers.
Up the winding stairs to the second floor, you will find the charming 'lookout' bedroom. This under-the-eaves room features three single beds and offers a bird's-eye view over the garden, the dunes, and the sea beyond. The lookout has become a favourite among guests of all ages, with its low-sloping roof and lofty views it creates the delightful illusion of being in a crow's nest!
The house is beautifully furnished and well-equipped including a coffee machine, numerous TV's, and two full size American style Fridges etc.,. The compact kitchen flows into a spacious dining room, which features a wall-mounted TV and offers views of the completely private, white high-walled Mediterranean-themed garden. In the expansive lounge, you’ll find a large Italian leather corner sofa, along with two 'Stressless recliners' and footstools. The room is bright and airy, with white Plantation shuttered windows overlooking tropical palms, a trimmed lawn, and a stunning sea view. For evening entertainment and relaxation, the lounge includes a large 55-inch smart TV and an inviting open fire for the cold evenings of Autumn.
Connected to the lounge is another relaxation area known as the 'snug.' This cozy space features books and family board games for entertainment. With beach-themed wall-mounted surfboards and raffia window blinds that face the sea, the snug offers a bohemian vibe, perfect for lazy days. It is furnished with two comfy, large Italian leather sofas and boasts full-size patio doors that provide stunning sea views. This is an ideal spot for enjoying your morning coffee while watching dawn break over the water.
The Snug leads into the 'Sun Room,' which combines indoor and outdoor living! This room features a patio floor, a wall adorned with flowering geraniums, jasmine, and a rubber tree plant. The Sun Room faces south and has glass windows and patio doors that open onto a private, sheltered exterior patio. It's a delightful space for enjoying family meals, unwinding with a book, and savouring a glass of wine while staying protected from sea breezes!
Recently renovated, this house has been thoughtfully designed for comfortable living—truly a home away from home. The easy-to-clean, lime-washed vinyl effect oak floorboards throughout enhance the beachside theme. The King bedroom, which offers a sea view, along with the 'Look-out' bedroom, both feature new deep and luxurious fitted carpets. Quality is presented throughout with brand new appliances, a cooker, dishwasher, washing machine, 2 large American-style fridges, a Tassimo coffee machine, and flat-screen smart TVs in most rooms.

A complimentary welcome pack is provided on arrival to help get your holiday off to a bang!

We let FRIDAY to FRIDAY for 7-night stays.
We regret that, due to the original build design of the house, it is not suitable for wheelchair users.
Please note that there is a Housekeeping/Damage security deposit of £300 paid 72 hours before arrival, which is fully refundable within 3 working days of departure.

Outside Property
Outside White Horses, you will find six separate terraces and seating areas. (A Hot Tub is available from 1st May until 31st October 2026 ) Allowing guests to take full advantage of the sun as it moves around the house, or to escape the sea breeze. There are plenty of shaded spots to relax while still enjoying the beautiful sea views and gardens. Three patio tables with chairs and parasols are provided for your comfort.
The gardens are well-established and feature a variety of shrubs, a rose garden, rhubarb, parsley, and mature trees, including Mediterranean palms and an olive tree.
The front of the house is enclosed by a high, curved, white-rendered wall that stretches for more than 20 meters. It features double wooden gates that provide access to a secure and private shingle driveway, offering ample parking space for several cars. The front garden includes a patio area that overlooks the garden, allowing for maximum exposure to the evening sun as it moves around the house.
In the front garden, you'll find a delightful and whimsical Scandinavian barbecue cabin, which comfortably seats 8 people. With its rainbow-colored lights at night, the cabin transforms evening barbecues into a magical experience for the whole family!
The rear of the house faces the sea and features three distinct patio areas where you can sit and admire the views of the sea and dunes while listening to the waves. These spaces are perfect for sunbathing, watching people, reading books, or enjoying al fresco meals with a beautiful ocean backdrop.
Additionally, there is a small tropical garden beside the lounge, which offers a private terrace for the king-size bedroom, complete with a sea view.
White Horses is completely enclosed and very private. It is located at the end of a no-through road on the private Winterton Valley Estate, in a quiet cul-de-sac, where it is not overlooked.
PETS WELCOME! A sheltered metal dog run provides peace of mind, allowing you to go out on hot days knowing your pets are comfortable, safe, and protected from the weather. They can enjoy the shade without the risk of escaping or coming to harm.
Surrounding Area
Winterton-on-Sea boasts a stunning and picturesque landscape on the North Norfolk Coast. With endless miles of breathtaking sand dunes known as the Marhams and golden sandy beaches to explore, it is a paradise for nature lovers. The area is also very dog-friendly; dogs are welcome on both the beach and the Marhams, and local pubs and restaurants embrace pets as well.
White Horses is ideally located for exploring the Norfolk Broads, along with its windmills and numerous nearby attractions. One of the highlights of the area is the local Seal colony; seals can often be spotted bobbing in the sea opposite White Horses or lounging in large numbers on the neighboring beach at Horsey.
Norwich city, with its vibrant shopping centre, historic open market, Castle Museum, etc., is just a half-hour drive away. To the west, the coastal towns of Cromer, famous for the Norfolk Cromer Crabs and its Victorian and Georgian architecture, and the beautiful Cromer Pier, with an array of specialist shops, a cinema and end of the pier theatre, mirrored by its sister town of Sheringham, bursting with shops, restaurants and the North Norfolk Steam Railway, it has its own popular Theatre and charming beachfront. Moving up the coast to the upscale town of Holt, with its privately owned department store, choice of fine dining restaurants, and posh shops, are all within an hour's drive on winding roads.
To the east, you’ll find Hemsby, which is a 15-minute walk along the dunes. Buzzing with traditional family fun, seaside arcades, seaside shops, bakeries, butchers, pharmacies, cafes, pubs, takeaways, etc., lots of the pubs and holiday centres offer live entertainment throughout the summer months. Further on, you will find bustling Great Yarmouth, Lowestoft, and Gorleston, and the quintessential British charming towns of Southwold, Aldeburgh, and Walberswick, all conveniently close
