Surrounding Area

A great location for a North Norfolk holiday, close to Holt, Blakeney, Sheringham and Cromer

Weybourne is a quiet unspoilt village on the coastal road between Sheringham, five miles to the East, and Wells, 16 miles to the West.

The pretty 15th century church is at the heart of the village with The Ship Inn and village stores close by . It is here that the coast hopper bus stops - an ideal way to travel the breadth of the North Norfolk coast. A short walk of 10 minutes to the south of the village brings you to the station from which you can travel to Sheringham or Holt on the restored steam railway called The Poppy Line.

There is so much to do and see in the countryside around Weybourne. The beach is on the Norfolk Coastal Path which runs from Hunstanton to Cromer and is very popular with walkers and bird watchers. There are further local walks with spectacular views at Kelling and Muckleborough Heaths and at Sheringham Park.

There is National Trust property a plenty and great houses like Holkham Hall and Felbrigg Hall to visit. The Cley marsh study centre is testament to the terrific variety of bird life which can be found around the shores of North Norfolk and the reason why so many birdwatchers visit the area.

The beaches at Holkham and Brancaster are stunning and accessible and the seaside towns of Cromer and Sheringham both with a host of family entertainment and numerous attractive villages are within easy reach.

For shopping, the bustling Georgian market town of Holt is close by. Here you will find many fine restaurants, tea shops, art galleries and antique shops.
