Wells-next-the-Sea is a beautiful, historic and unspoiled seaside resort situated on the North Norfolk heritage coastline midway between Cromer and Hunstanton. It is the ideal place for a holiday or short break in any season.
The cottage is situated only yards from the quayside where sailing and fishing boats come and go throughout the year. Crab fishing from the quay is a popular pastime for young and old. There is a pitch and putt course, a well-equipped children’s playing field, trampolines, crazy golf and boating lake; the beautiful sweeping beach bordered by pinewoods and sheltered sand dunes. Seals visit the beach at certain times of year.
The district is well known for birdwatching and coastal walks. Coasthopper buses operate throughout the year and enable places of interest to be easily reached and providing a convenient way to walk various sections of the coastal path. There are excellent facilities for sailing and water sports; bicycles and canoes can be hired; horses and ponies are also available from a licensed riding stable. Boat, fishing and seal spotting excursions can all be booked from the quay. Public tennis courts and green bowling are available in the town.
