Mill Lane is a quite road just off of the village away from the busy main coast road. The nearby beach is a 5-10 minute walk away.
It is peaceful lane despite the nearby railway branch line running two carriages hourly from Cromer to Sheringham.
It is possible to walk out of the house in both directions into Cromer (1 mile) either up the lane past the mill, alongside the railway and across countryside towards Morrisons which is in the centre of Cromer. Alternatively walk down the lane into the village, along the beach or coastal path towards Cromer pier which can be seen from the beach access.
The village has a small friendly pub which serves food, a small butchers shop and a convenience shop open until 10pm selling essentials.
East Runton beach, a mixture of sand and pebble has won blue flag awards. It has public toilets and RNLI lifeguards on duty during the summer months.
It is popular for families with children looking for crabs in the rock pools as well as walkers who wish to explore the coastal paths with the option of catching the bus back at the end of the day.
There are regular buses running in both directions along the coast road towards Sheringham, wells-next-sea, Hunstanton and Overstrand or Norwich.
Cromer has a mainline train station and it is possible to visit this property without a car and use public transport.
