Ogilvy House in Norfolk (photo 2) The standard of the recent refurbishment ensures that the guests have a luxurious, spacious and comfortable visit to Ogilvy House, regardless of what the seasons have to offer and will return with the confidence that their experience can be repeated. The overall atmosphere of the house is that of inviting warmth and style, concentrating on smoky paint colours, natural sisal flooring, and an open fire in winter. The house offers three boutique individually designed letting rooms,on the 1st and 2nd floors, all with en-suite facilities including Matki shower enclosures, Villeroy and Boch sanitary wear and limestone tiling. The White Company Egyptian cotton bed linen, hypoallergenic pillows and quilts, Flat screen Smart T.V.'s, free Wi-Fi connection, hospitality tray, small safe and complimentary toiletries. The superior room also has a free standing bath and all rooms offer under floor heating. We pride ourselves on good quality, locally sourced, home cooked food. Our breakfast served between 7.30 AM - 9.30 AM in the Henry Blogg dining room caters for a hearty and healthy appetite, offering traditional and continental options. All our produce is freshly prepared in house, including Ogilvy House marmalade, preserves and seasonal fruit. We also cater for special dietary needs, but require notice at time of booking.
As an alternative to breakfast, a packed lunch can be provided, with prior warning, for those preferring to get an early start to the day. This would include fresh, delicious and seasonal ingredients.

Our property is for adults only, 16 year year olds to be accompanied by adults.

Outside and garden

Parking is at a premium in Cromer so luckily we can offer two parking spaces with prior arrangement.
We are also aware that many visitor's to Cromer and the glorious surrounding North Norfolk coastal areas partake in sports and activities and for this reason we provide a locked outbuilding for bicycles, golf clubs, walking boots/clothes etc.

Surrounding area

Ogilvy House in Norfolk (photo 3) Cromer is ideally situated for exploring greater North Norfolk, the Broads, Norwich and beyond. It benefits from frequent connections to London, the Midlands and the rest of the UK by National Rail and abroad through Norwich International Airport. Regular local train and bus links make is easy to get out and explore all the area has to offer by public transport. Notably the Coasthopper bus service is an easy option for exploring North Norfolk. There is also the award winning North Norfolk Coastal Path, which passes through the area and attracts walkers and birders wanting something extra special. During the months of March to October there are also several historic homes to visit, including the royal residence at Sandringham as well as National Trust properties at Blickling, Felbrigg and Holkham amongst others. Artists also love to visit, fascinated by the expansive Norfolk skies, cyclists for the"relative" flatness and golfers for the various Royal coastal courses, whilst Cromer Lawn Tennis and Squash Club welcomes visiting players.

Perched on the very edge of the North Norfolk coast, Cromer is famous for its tasty crabs, working lighthouse, wide open Blue Flag beaches, a traditional pier complete with an active theatre plus various special music events and festivals. During the summer Cromer holds it's famous Carnival, which includes an eclectic mix of attractions and varied arts based activities.

Cromer town has a wide selection of independently owned shops, cafes, and restaurants, offering local, foreign and highly acclaimed cuisine, many of which have been passed down through the generations.
