Location

The property is situated in what were the grounds of Weybourne Hall, in the heart of the pretty brick and flint village of Weybourne on the North Norfolk coast in an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty. Falling between the coastal villages of Blakeney, Cley and Sheringham, there is much to delight including the North Norfolk Steam Railway running close to the village.

The dramatic steep pebble beach is just a few minutes stroll away, marking the start of the fossil rich cliffs leading to Cromer and beyond. The property is ideally situated for birdwatching and visiting the local RSPB and NWT reserves along the coast at Cley and Titchwell, as well as the picturesque NT harbour at Blakeney and the award winning beaches of Sheringham and Wells. It is within very easy reach of many National Trust properties and beauty spots, including Sheringham Park 2 miles, Felbrigg 8 miles and Blickling Hall. Other local stately homes open to the public are Wolterton and Mannington Halls owned by Lord and Lady Walpole and Holkham owned by the Earl of Leicester.

There are many lovely walks and cycle routes accessible from the doorstep including a short circular clifftop walk taking in the village windmill, passing the coastguards cottages and wartime pill boxes and returning via the beach. The village is on the North Norfolk coastal path and scenic walks begin immediately in both directions. Golf, fishing and horse riding are also available locally. A perfect location for families, it is 2 miles from the Splash pool on the outskirts of Sheringham.

Other local amenities in the village include a friendly local shop, 2 minutes stroll through the churchyard; a pub serving food, and a hotel.

The Georgian town of Holt is only three miles away and has a wide range of independent shops, galleries and restaurants. The Norfolk Broads and the City of Norwich make a great day trip.

Sheringham is two miles away with it's traditional seaside fare and award winning fish and chip restaurant.

Weybourne is where the shingle bank which stretches from Blakeney to the West ends, and the striking chalk cliffs which run to the East begin.
The shingle beach here makes it a popular spot for sea fishing, especially due to the deep water immediately off the shore. This deep water made Weybourne a potential spot for an invasion to land, even as late as WWII.
A number of old military defences can be found around the coast here, and the Muckleborough Collection can be found in Weybourne village - this is the countrys largest collection of working military vehicles.
At Weybourne there is also a shop, a pub and a hotel, and the nearby town of Holt has plenty of facilities including a supermarket.
