Teddy's Retreat, West Beckham, North Norfolk with Sky Sports is a Dog Friendly, bright, sunny cosy cottage, with a south facing secure garden, set in the Norfolk countryside only 2 miles from the coast at Sheringham. 4 miles from the Georgian town of Holt, 20 mins from Wells Next the Sea and 15 mins to Blakeney Point. Teddy's Retreat has a wealth of original features including an open fire and wooden floors. Fleece dog throws on the sofas. Wi-Fi.

This 2 bed (1 twin, 1 double) cottage is made for a relaxing holiday in Norfolk. Teddy's Retreat is a pretty, bright, traditional North Norfolk Cottage with a secure south facing garden. As it is dog friendly, there are wooden floor boards throughout, making the holiday simple for the dogs and owners! There is lots of space to put dog baskets under the stairs or in the porch, along with all the dog toys! The Sitting room has 2 very comfy sofas, Sky TV, Sky Sports TV, DVD player, open log fire. There is a separate kitchen with washing machine, dishwasher, microwave. Central heating is easy to use.

Upstairs: Easy wooden stairs (unlike the typical tiny staircases in Norfolk), bathroom has a freestanding slipper bath, landing with laundry basket, bright double and twin bedroom with lots of cupboard space, bedside lamps, chest of drawers. The bedrooms overlook the pretty south facing garden.

Outside Property

This cosy relaxing Teddy's Retreat Dog Friendly Norfolk Cottage has a secure enclosed garden and seating area outside with a table and 4 chairs. Also under the Louquat Tree a Weber Compact Kettle Charcoal BBQ, with table and chairs. There is a BBQ area in the garden with table, chairs, marble top serving area, and a Weber Kettle Charcaol BBQ. In the separate games room (lovely old flint barn which was a dairy) has seating, table tennis, bar football table. The pub is a 5 min walk across the field and there are lovely dog walks on the doorstep. The beach at Sheringham 2 miles away, has a dog friendly area.

You approach Teddy's Retreat through a pretty Picket Gate to the garden. Lovely enclosed sunny secure south facing garden with seating area with table and chairs outside for eating. Lots of space to have a BBQ (provided) but please bring your own charcoal. Separate seating area under the loquat tree - if you don't like the sun!
There is a hosepipe under the kitchen window if you need to wash the sand off you or the dogs!

Surrounding Area

The dog walks around the cottage are wonderful and the beach is only 2 miles away at Sheringham. If you have time walk on Holkham beach, pickup fish and chips, grab a drink and relax. Bakers and Larners Department Store in Holt is something from the past - Food Hall, Vintners, Aladdin's cave and over 250 years old! You can have a fun family day out on the Poppy Line Steam Train from Sheringham to Holt!
The local Wheatsheaf pub is a short walk across the fields. Dog friendly pub.
Teddy's Retreat is a great location for shopping(!) with Norwich just 25 minutes away. Norwich is perfect for some serious shopping!
You can visit the National Trust properties of Sheringham Park, Felbrigg Hall and Bickling Estate.

BLAKENEY NATIONAL NATURE RESERVE
Blakeney Point itself is a 3 mile long sand and shingle spit, noted for its colonies of breeding terns and migrant birds passing through. Both common and grey seals can be seen.

SEALS at Blakeney
There are both common & grey seals at Blakeney, usually numbering around 500. Common seals drop their pups between June and August, and the greys give birth later in the year between November and January.
There are boat trips (Usually from April - October) to see the seals; the trips last for about 1 hour.
Location: Blakeney National Nature Reserve is situated mid-way between the towns of Wells-next-the-sea and Sheringham. Access to the site is by ferry from Morston and Blakeney (both on the A149), or by foot from Cley Beach 5.5 km away..
