Sheringham is a very popular seaside town on the North Norfolk coast, the town has a thriving high street with fishmongers, butchers, greengrocers, bakery shops, lots of cafes, pubs, restaurants and fish and chip shops. Every summer there is a Carnival week with lots of fun activities for children and adults. We are very lucky to have a theatre which puts on lots of fantastic performances year round including the hilarious pantomime at Christmas and the Summer Rep season during the holidays. We are incredibly lucky to have the North Norfolk Railway which has vintage steam trains running from Sheringham to Holt. Every year there is a 1940's weekend where people flock to Sheringham to dress up in 1940's costumes and recreate wartime britain. Sheringham beach is lovely and sandy at low tide, perfect for sandcastles and picnics!
A short drive from Sheringham is Cromer with it's traditional pier and lovely sandy beach, and in the other direction are Blakeney, Wells-Next-The-Sea and Salthouse where you can buy samphire straight from the marshes and fresh fish just brought in by the local fishermen. This holiday cottage has its own website: https://sheringhamtownhouse.wordpress.com
