Delightful apartment in lovely Edwardian cottage, with pretty gardens and summerhouse. Self-contained, on the ground floor and completely level, with ample private off-road parking. Excellent location, in a peaceful residential area yet just an easy 10 min stroll to the beach, shops and restaurants, steam railway and coast path. The Coasthopper bus and Bittern Line train to Norwich are a short walk away.
Entrance hall with coat/boot storage. Spacious, sociable open plan living area, with comfy leather sofas around the original Norfolk brick fireplace. New, well equipped kitchen with oven, fridge/freezer compartment, microwave and attractive dining area. Two bedrooms (one double, one twin, both with good quality mattresses and linen). Good private off-street parking immediately outside the cottage on our driveway. Many guests leave the car here all week, walk or use the Coasthopper bus.
The seaside town of Sheringham lies on the North Norfolk coast, in an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, an unspoilt landscape of saltmarsh, tidal creeks and wide, empty beaches. From Magnolia Cottage it's a ten minute walk to the Blue Flag beach, the high street, with its independent shops, restaurants and pubs, the Poppy Line steam railway, Little Theatre, cliff top walks and the long distance coast path. Miles of coast and country walks from the doorstep, including Sheringham Park (National Trust).
Within a few miles are the Victorian resort of Cromer, the lovely Georgian town of Holt, National Trust properties Sheringham Park, Felbrigg Hall and Blickling Hall, Houghton Hall and Holkham, the pretty coastal villages of Weybourne, Blakeney and Cley, with their flint cottages and windmills, and picturesque Wells-next- the -Sea. Fabulous sandy beaches with safe bathing. Good birdwatching at nearby RSPB/ NWT reserves Cley, Pensthorpe and Titchwell, and boat trips to the seal colony at Blakeney Point.
