Located in the centre of Sheringham just a stone's throw from the beautiful flagship beach, 2 The Old Boathouse is an upside down holiday home with a wealth of history. It was used by the well know Norfolk family, the Emery brothers, who used it to build fishing boats for the local community. Now refurbished into a cosy holiday retreat whilst maintaining its costal feel and original features. (refurbishment will be finished October 2020 with photos to follow)
The bedrooms downstairs consist of one with a Kingsize bed and the other a family room with triple bunkbeds, there is also a double sofabed in the lounge upstairs to meet the needs of different groups of families and friends wishing to holiday together.
The upstairs is a light and airy open plan kitchen/dining room/lounge with open beams and the original flint wall which gives you a real sense of the history of the building. The open plan living area is just perfect for spending social evenings together on holiday.
Located just 1 minute walk from the beach and seafront, with pubs and restaurants literally on your doorstep . The bustling high street is also 1 minute walk away containing both high street shops and local independent traders. Also your traditional fish and chips, street food, takeaways and ice-cream parlours.
The are parking facilities within a 1 minute walk, where daily/weekly passes can be purchased.
Sheringham is famous for its flagship beautiful beach, and has many other attractions such as the Steam Railway, Priory Maze, Sheringham Museum, Little Theatre, Sheringham Park, Golf Course and Leisure Centre.
The steam train runs to the elegant Georgian town of Holt which makes an alternative day out from the coast with its antique and art galleries, food hall, café culture and independent shopping.
