Shell is inspired by the former Shell Gallery sited in the west barn at Sharrington Hall. One of our two most spacious cottages, it has two ensuite double bedrooms - one 4-poster king with cast iron roll top bath, the other a super-king/twin with a walk-in shower. The large kitchen has a hand-built painted kitchen with open access to a separate sitting room, with its rustic fireplace with log burning stove and seating for four.
Sky, our other spacious 2-bedroom 2-bathroom cottage, has a colour palette reminiscent of the far flung horizons of the North Norfolk coast. It has one king size bedroom with walk-in shower, oversized console basin and separate WC, one super-king/twin with open plan bathroom with cast iron roll top bath, oversized console basin. Downstairs is a hand-built kitchen and large sitting room and open fireplace with log burner.
Samphire captures the ever-shifting shades of the local salt marshes. It is our smallest two-bed cottage, with one double bedroom and one super-king/twin. The shared bathroom has a cast iron roll top bath and separate pebble-tiled shower. There is an open plan hand-built kitchen/dining/sitting area and large fireplace with log burner.
Seal is our most romantic cottage, sleeping two, inspired by the popular seals who frequent the nearby coastline. It features a 4-poster king-size bed with cast iron roll top bath in the bedroom, and separate ensuite with pebbled walk-in shower and oversized console basin. Downstairs offers an open plan kitchen/dining/sitting area with a hand-built painted kitchen and a large fireplace with log burner.
Salt is our most recently renovated cottage, sleeping two, inspired by contemplative skies over the salty seas of North Norfolk. It features a 4-poster king-size bed with roll top bath in the bedroom, and separate ensuite with walk-in shower and oversized console basin. Downstairs offers an open plan kitchen/dining/sitting area with a hand-built painted kitchen and a large fireplace with log burner and romantic dining nook.
All cottages have just been renovated with new plumbing and central heating, and brand new quality beds, mattresses and 200 thread count bed-linens. All offer Freesat smart TV's, DVD player, iPhone docks/bluetooth speaker and free wifi. Towels and linens provided.
Our changeover days are Fridays and Mondays, so you can book a 3-night weekend, 4-night mid-week or full week's stay with us. Christmas and New Year are week only.
Weekends are £495-£700; mid-weeks are £600-£825; full weeks £925-£1250. Couple rates are available for our 2-bed cottages. Bank holiday May 27 and Aug 26 check in or out on the Monday incurs a surcharge of £35/£25 (full/couple)
We're sorry but our cottages are not geared up for young kids, but children aged 10 or over are very welcome. We also love dogs, so small-medium dogs, and hounds, that are well-behaved, clean and remain/sleep downstairs are allowed in Sky and Shell, at an extra £30/stay (one dog per stay). Please note the garden is not dog-secure.
There is shared access to washing machine, ironing facilities and extra fridge/freezer space. All cottages are non-smoking/non-vaping.
The holiday cottages are situated in the grounds of a Jacobean manor house, Sharrington Hall. Shell, Sky, Samphire and Seal have their own terraces with table and chairs, giving onto a shared garden, with views onto open fields in front and the Hall behind. Salt has a private terrace with table and chairs and views of the Hall and green. There is off-road parking.
