“Just returned from a week at the Crabpot in Overstrand and thought I would let you know what we thought. The Bungalow and garden were exactly what we wanted. The garden was completely dog proof and this was a weight off our minds not having to worry about escaping dogs all week. The owners have furnished the property beautifully and they left nothing out, from suntan cream, dog biscuits , poo bags and a bottle of wine for us. They deserve a full booking list every year and I can’t recommend the place enough.”

“Penny and Mike what a wonderful bungalow in a fantastic location, the views of beaches and being so close just ticks all the boxes. Alfie loves his walks and the garden. Lionel went fishing early one morning and caught a flounder. The weather was good and the hotel does a lovely meal. Hope to return soon thank you”

'What a super retreat! The proximity of the sea front was just what we needed. The Crabpot is so comfortable, cosy and clean. The sea mist drifting across the garden was very atmospheric! Thank you so much Penny and Mike for sharing this lovely place with us and also for the bottle of wine and biscuits. Will certainly be back! If you allow us!'

The Crabpot is a beautifully presented bungalow, immaculately presented, situated in a quiet cul de sac just a five minute walk to the beautiful beach at Overstrand. You can hear the sea from the garden when the tide is high. Overstrand is 2 miles from Cromer and was known in Victorian times as the Village of Millionaires and was a favourite haunt of Sir Winston Churchill. It still retains its old fashioned charm with the Cliff Top Cafe, sandy beach, village cricket ground, pub and lovely countryside walks. The property is equipped to a high standard with modern kitchen, bathroom and floorings. The sitting room is light with views over the pretty gardens. The sunny conservatory to the front is a perfect place to sit and read. Guests can take the train to Sheringham from Cromer or even into Norwich. The owners have gone the extra mile to ensure guests have the perfect seaside holiday in a real home from home with many thoughtful extras.

Overstrand is 2 miles from Cromer and was known in Victorian times as the Village of Millionaires and was a favourite haunt of Sir Winston Churchill. It lies in the heart of Poppyland, a term phrased by Clement Scott the London travel writer and journalist, in 1883. It still retains its old fashioned charm with the Cliff Top Café, sandy beach, village cricket ground, pub and lovely countryside walks. It is a wonderful place to make family holiday memories. Fresh crabs and lobsters (when in season) can bought direct from the fishermen's boat from the hut at the top of the beach. The beach is spectacular with miles of sand. The crumbling cliffs form a dramatic backdrop to the sea. Cormorants fish from the groynes and the odd seal pops its head up. Golfers are spoilt with Royal Cromer and Sheringham golf clubs both spectacular friendly cliff top courses a few minutes drive away. The village has a shop selling all manner of essentials and beach equipment including crabbing lines. The White Horse pub serves great food and if you feel like being spoilt the historical Sea Marge Hotel, the place where Churchill mobilised the fleet from in the war has a fabulous 2 AA rosette resturant. Peaceful walks can be had directly from The Crabpot, either long the cliff top or beach to Cromer, or down one of the 'Quiet Lanes' inland. Guests can take the train to Sheringham from Cromer or even into Norwich. This holiday cottage has its own website: http://www.crabpotcottages.co.uk
