SPECIAL POST LOCKDOWN OFFER; if you are staying for two weeks between September and early December 2020 or early January to March 2021, you can have the second week at half price. The views are the same, the weather is often milder than inland, the vast beaches of North Norfolk start a couple of minutes from your front door, and are usually empty!

Shorelarks has been the base for many happy family holidays over the past seventeen years, with several guests returning year after year as their children outgrow their buckets and spades . A modern, three storey house with fabulous sea views to the front from its first floor balcony and top floor bedrooms, Shorelarks is a very well equipped and comfortable home from home. Grandparents, parents and children will often make up the family group - we have had lively guests in their 90's and newborn babies! Shorelarks has finally entered the 21st century with wifi throughout the house.

The garden room is off the conservatory and with its dining table and six chairs, it doubles up as a games/jigsaw quiet room at the back of the house. In the garage (part converted to form the garden room, so not useable as a garage) you will find some garden furniture and a freezer.

Surrounding area

Old Hunstanton's magnificent dunes and safe blue flag beach are but a minute's walk away from Shorelarks. You can see from the balcony whether the tide is in (very shallow for paddling) or out. The Mariner pub, with its children's play area and lawns, is just across the road, with several restaurants in the village serving everything from pub to Michelin-starred food. You might like to try breakfast at the Old Boathouse Cafe, down next to the RNLI lifeboat station on the beach.

The village has an excellent village shop and post office, selling everything from newspapers to croissants, with much more comprehensive facilities a mile away in Hunstanton itself.

If its a water-or beach-based holiday you'd like, sailing, windsurfing and waterski-ing are all available in Hunstanton or Brancaster, with sailing courses available . There are boat trips from Hunstanton to explore the Wash or from Morston Quay to see the seals.

For a land-based holiday you won't be short of places to see or things to do, either by car , by foot (North Norfolk Coastal Path) or by bicycle . Bird and wildlife lovers have the reserves at Holme and Titchwell on their doorsteps. Sea Life in Hunstanton will tell you everything you need to know about marine life. For golfers, five minutes walk away is the famous Hunstanton championship links couse, or across the road from Shorelarks is the slightly less challenging Pitch and Putt for anyone who can wield a club!

By car, the coast road to Cromer features a string of charming and unspoiled villages, towns and beaches with plenty of historic houses, activities for the children and the Wells to Sheringham railway within easy reach of the coast road. Inland you have Fakenham (for the races), Kings Lynn (for the cinema), and further afield Norwich (a beautiful catherdral city). Or just take pot luck and explore our lovely countryside ; you're bound to find something you like.

Of course, you could always decide to stay put, and chill out on the balcony overlooking the sea with a glass of something refreshing after a hard day building sandcastles and refereeing beach cricket down by the beach hut, your favourite music on the ipod, reading that book that you've had since Christmas, or wrestling with the Japanese jigsaw (impossible) while the children create a Lego mansion, re-enact how Barbie met Action Man or watch a film upstairs!

Whether you decide to go out or stay put, Shorelarks is perfectly placed to offer you a relaxing and enjoyable holiday with your family, and give you memories to cherish.
