Entry to the cottage is via a stable door, which leads into a small porchway. From here is the cosy, open plan living room, featuring a multi-fuel burner and exposed beams. A large leather sofa faces the fire and flatscreen TV, with integrated DVD player. Welcome baskets of coal, wood and kindling are provided free of charge, as are books, games and DVD's for relaxing evenings in. The living room also has underfloor heating.

The country kitchen includes a large oak table, wall oven, electric job, microwave, integrated dishwasher, fridge/freezer, washer/dryer. The cupboards are extremely well equipped, with everything you could possibly need in the kitchen. Some non-perishable ingredients and cleaning products are also included, plus an iron and ironing board. This room also has the benefits of underfloor heating.

The bathroom features a full size bath, walk in shower, washbasin, WC, electric wall heater and downpour fan heater.

Upstairs, the master bedroom is furnished with an antique style Victorian brass bed, bedside tables and reading lights, a chest and wardrobe for storage, plus a radio alarm clock with built in phone charger points.. This room also boasts underfloor heating.

The second bedroom has twin single beds, bedside table with reading light, television with integrated DVD player, radio alarm clock with built in phone charger points, chest of draws and large wardrobe, plus a electric wall heater.

All bedding, towels and electricity are included in the price, as is the free wi-fi throughout the property. We charge no extra for well behaved pets, but ask they remain downstairs at all times. No smoking. The changeover day for the cottage is a Saturday, but short breaks are available out of peak months.

Outside and garden

The Cottage has a fully enclosed, secluded garden, which is a riot of colour in the spring and summer. The patio table and chairs are perfect for outside meals, or simply relaxing in the garden. There is also a barbecue guests are very welcome to use and a shed which can be used for bicycle storage. Car parking is on a quiet lane outside the cottage.

Golebys Cottage in Norfolk (photo 4) Golebys Cottage is tucked away on a quiet lane in the pretty, rural village of Hickling, within easy reach of the best Norfolk has to offer. Hickling has the biggest of all Norfolks Broads, a nature reserve and the superb Greyhound pub is 2 minutes walk from the cottage. The pub is also dog friendly. The village also has a pretty church and there are many lovely walks and cycle rides leading from it. The small town of Stalham is less than 10 minutes away, where the nearest supermarket can be found.

One of the benefits of staying at Golebys Cottage is its location, as it's only 3 miles away from Norfolks stunning golden beaches, that stretch for mile after mile. Hickling is also 5 miles away from the famous seal colony at Horsey beach, which is a wonderful sight. Historic Norwich, the seaside towns of Cromer and Great Yarmouth, plus the capital of the Broads, Wroxham, are all within 35 minutes drive away..
