Tastefully decorated flat with a modern twist on the traditional nautical theme. Being situated above the Garden House Gallery, art work by local artisits hangs on the walls .The spacious lounge has two cream leather sofas, coffee table and modern pebble effect electic fire. There is a 26" HD TV with DVD and a free wi-fi connection is available. From the bay window there is a view down Garden Street to the sea. The kitchen is large, bright and airy. It is well equipped with electric oven and hob, microwave, fridge with ice-box, iron and ironing board, washing machine. Shabby chic dining furniture provides plenty of eating space for two or more. There is a feature brick and flint wall in the dining area. The flat is centrally heated throughout and there is a flame effect electric fire in the lounge.
From the lounge there is a spiral staircase to the bedroom (PLEASE NOTE THAT THIS RESTRICTED ACCESS WILL NOT BE SUITABLE FOR EVERYONE AND NOT BABIES OR CHILDREN UNDER 12 ). Decorated in creams, blues and browns the bedroom has a tranquil feel. There is a king sized shaker bed, plenty of drawer and hanging space and a wall mounted 19' HD tv with DVD. The ensuite shower room and toilet are accessed from the bedroom there is a hair dryer for your convenience.
There is no parking with the property but bags can be loaded and unloaded from immediately outside. The flat is accessed by a very narrow flight of stairs from the original fisherman's cottage front door. There is unrestricted roadside parking and a number of municipal car parks within easy walking distance. Weekly long stay vouchers can be purchased from North Norfolk District Council.
The flat is situated in the heart of the popular coastal town of Cromer and only a stone's throw from the beach, promenade and pier, famous for it's "End of the Pier" shows and varied live entertainment throughout the year. There are cafes, restaurants and pubs on the doorstep where visitors can sample amongst other culinary delights, the local Cromer crab. (Please note that being in the centre of town there will be some noise from the pub three doors down, the garden of which is behind the flat.) The town retains a number of individual shops. There are some lovely historic houses close by including Felbrigg and Blickling which are within easy reach of Cromer. The coastline is a haven for bird watchers and walkers. From the seafront there are level walks along the beach towards East and West Runton and Sheringham to the West and Overstrand and beyond to the East. For the more active, Cromer has a well established surf school which provides hire and lessons. The Royal Cromer Golf course, with its breathtaking views across the sea, is only 1/2 a mile away. The bus station is within easy walking distance and the very popular and frequent Coast Hopper service means that it is easy and economical to travel along the coast without a car. Buses run to the Cathedral City of Norwich which can also be reached by trains (the railway station is also only a short, level walk away). For steam train enthusiasts nearby Sheringham is the starting point of The Poppy Line.
