Unique property situated as close to Brancaster beach as you can get. Sleeping 8 in four bedrooms. The house owns around 10 acres of salt marshes and the rear of the house overlooks these. Breath taking sunsets from the deck! The coastal path is right outside the door and the walk to the beach is around 10/15 mins. The house is comfortable with new beds and linen and towels. The kitchen is extremely well equipped and the bi fold doors leading out from the deck, once pulled back, really allow the outside in.
The house can be rented together with Brancaster Cottage which sleeps 2 so up to a total of 10 guests.
The house is a great place for a family seaside holiday, a wonderful house for making memories.
It is a very special place to stay and you will almost certainly see some of the following. Marsh Harriers, Buzzards, Pink Foot Geese, Woodpeckers and of course the resident Barn Owl, Simon. It really is a complete haven for all manner of wildlife.
To the rear of the house is a large garden which is mainly fenced. This is great for children to explore in and have adventures. The large deck ensures a front row seat to the wonderful sunsets and watching the flocks of migratory birds fly overhead.
The kitchen and dining room are spacious, open plan and very well equipped.. There is a pine farm house dining table seating 8 overlooking the deck and gardens. Large American style fridge freezer, microwave, oven and induction hob. Central to the room is a large woodturner that backs onto the sitting room providing a cosy focus point in both rooms. there is also gas central heating. Bi fold doors to the deck. Original parquet flooring.
The sitting room is comfortable with three large leather sofas, a coffee table and book shelf. There is a large flat screen TV. WiFi. Bi fold doors to outside deck.
Rear Hall - Useful area for drying wet dogs and children! Boot and coat storage. Cloakroom with shower, WC and basin.
Bedroom 1: Master suite with king size bed, bedside tables and lamps. French doors to small rear deck. Large walk in wardrobe with plenty of storage. Shower and separate WC.
Door to Family bathroom.
Bedroom 2: Full size single bed with pull out truckle bed underneath. Wardrobe, selection of toys
Bedroom 3: Double bed with wardrobe and bedside table and lampo
Bedroom 4: Double bed with wardrobe, dressing table and bedside table with lamp.
Family bathroom: (Note accessible through bedroom 4 or Master bedroom) Large bath, separate shower WC and basin. Washing machine and tumble dryer in cupboard.
Family friendly. Dogs are welcome if they are kept in the areas of the house with hard flooring, not in the bedrooms or on any of the furniture.
There is parking outside for four cars. The gardens surround the house with lawned and wild areas, great for adventures. The surrounding salt marshes are owned by the house and are a wild life haven. The rear deck is perfect for al fresco dining or a sundowner in the evenings. There is some garden furniture. You can hear the sea from the garden when the tide is high. The walk to the beach will take around 10 minutes..
Brancaster is famous for its beach owned by the National Trust. The wilderness of the salt marshes is breath taking. A short walk into the village brings you to The Ship pub, a great place for evening meals.
In the autumn months the house has poll position to witness the annual geese migration, which is really a spectacular sight. You will hear the huge skeins of geese flying over head going to their evening roost.
