Brancaster Cottage is a fabulous bolthole for two, situated at the end of a private lane and approximately half a mile walk along the coast wall to the famous beach at Brancaster, you can't get much closer than this to the beach. The owners property is next door but the barn is completely separate and private.
The cottage is flanked by it's own 10 acres of salt marsh. The barn owl is our neighbour, Simon, who treats us to fly-pasts. ... Pics taken 10 yards from cottage front door.... Hats off to wildlife photographer Andy (who with his wife Kay keeps coming back)!!
The entire site lies within a Conservation Area, Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty and abuts a designated SSSI, Ramsar site and SPA to the north and west.
The property is a real mix of ancient and modern with exposed original brickwork and designed for your peace and every comfort......then you can get up and go .......exploring, golfing, bird-watching. The cottage is fully centrally heated, with a log fire effect heater too.

We loved our visit to Brancaster - thank you for a great stay - cottage was lovely equiped with everything we could have needed. The bedroom was delightful and a cosy and comfortable bed - just heaven.
Would that have been a barn owl flying about 4 foot from my face ? (yes) and we saw a fox at the end of the lane! We almost ran to the beach last night - the sunset was so amazing.
The cottage is simply fabulous and we have walked and walked and walked this week.
Is it always so sunny here? !!!!
The super king size bed was incredibly comfortable, and we had THE best nights sleep in ages!
The garden was very pretty and secure if you have dogs, I'm sure a sun trap on a good day.
The footpath to the coast was literally next door, a lovely tranquil walk to a peaceful, sandy beach.
If travelling around the area, there are some lovely pubs to visit too!

Escaped from Cambridge on Thursday evening for a minibreak (hurrah) in beautiful Brancaster. We stayed in the most delightful of cottages about as close to the sea as you can get there - just on the side of the wonderful marsh and about 1/2 mile walk along the dyke ridge to the best beach in the universe. It was heaven.
It's wonderful, magic spot.... we could live here!
Parking is free, ample and right by the front door.
Pretty, secluded and self contained garden with lawn, fenced from owners garden for complete privacy. Shingle path, garden bench, garden table, chairs and umbrella.
If you bring a boat,, there's room for that too.
Sunsets to the west and big, big skies everywhere - especially to the sea half a mile away.
Location, location, location. What could be better? A private retreat at the end of a virtually hidden lane, close to the beach you can hear the waves.
Walk from here to the see the seals in Titchwell Creek - if the tide is right, cross the creek and along to the RSPB Tichwell Marsh Reserve for a really good days birding or relaxing.
Brancaster is renowned for its fabulous, unspoilt beach and this is the closest property to it! Chris Coubrough (The Flying Kiwi of TV fame) has his Ship Restaurant less than 10 mins walk away.
The Jolly Sailors is another great Brancaster institution, a bit longer to walk - you can use the marsh path virtually all the way) - a real local pub, great mussels when in season.
Harriers and pinkfoot geese overhead and barn owls doing a fly-past. This is different and quite wonderful!
Wildlife abounds here.... End of private lane and path from front (stable) door to Brancaster's, glorious beach - just half a mile from the door
