One double bedroom
The Tao House is completely unique.
For 12 years it was home to Art Is Medicine (www.artismedicine.co.uk) and providing sanctuary....a place to recharge and gain the insight for individuals and families to radically improve the quality of their lives.
Now lovingly and painstakingly converted into a self-catering holiday let with complete refurbishment, the extraordinary sense of welcome and peace endures.
The Tao House is approached from its own drive with ample parking and the gate opens into a private front garden.
There is a small entrance hall leading onto the double bedroom with adjustable mood lighting and plenty of wardrobe and drawer space. The sitting area has two sofas: , free wifi, a woodburning stove and a flat screen, satellite tv. Sliding patio doors from here lead onto a exclusive and spacious decking area. The bespoke kitchen is well equipped with a halogen hob, fridge freezer, microwave and dishwasher beneath wooden work surfaces. There is a pop-up Bluetooth power tower, ipod docking station and wall mounted USB power chargers.
Underfloor heating in both the kitchen and the shower room ensure that there is always background heating and cosiness beneath your feet.
Should you by any chance wish to take advantage of the many bridle paths and beaches which run for miles and bring your horses for an equestrian break, please contact us next year for stabling rates. The stables have rubber matting on the floor and the turn out paddock is adjacent to your home from home.

Getting to The Tao House by car requires a short drive along an un-made up road. Turning left through black field gates you will find a generous guest parking area. The Tao House has its own entrance drive with parking; a secluded front and back garden with seating in both. The back garden has a substantial decked area and a charmingly planted area with sculpture and a water feature and bird feeders. This year, we logged over 47 different species of birds in the gardens and we are still counting! There is a log store in the side passage of the Tao House with a secure locking gate if you bring bikes with you.
Situated within the grounds of The Turning Point's four and a half acres, which themselves overlook the sea at its highest points, The Tao House is a 15 minute walk through the woods to the well known town of Sheringham with all of its year round cultural activities - from Sheringham Little Theatre to the 40's weekend run by the North Norfolk Steam Railway and the Autumnal Coast Arts Festival to the Viking Festival and Carnival.
The North Norfolk coastline is home to many nature reserves where rare, migrating birds can be seen and seals live along the shores all year round. Regular and increasing sightngs of whales are occurring and thrilling visitors. The National Trust supports many stately homes and, being within 45 minutes' drive of the Royal Estate of Sandringham, there remain many privately owned estates open to the public to visit. The Shrine of Our Lady of Walsingham is a beautiful and sacred pilgrimage site which draws visitors from all around the world.
We sit equidistant between the cities of Norwich and Kings Lynn with all that they have to offer and there is a train line with direct services to Norwich, with Intercity trains to London, a few minutes drive away in Sheringham.
The Victorian seaside town of Cromer is less than 4 miles away and the Pavilion Pier Theatre is the surviving pier theatres with year-round entertainment. Sheringham Town has lots to offer with cafes, restaurants, theatre, galleries and gift shops, exhibition space, swimming pool and beaches and a weekly market on Wednesdays and Saturdays all within a short walk and an even shorter drive!
