A very warm welcome and every comfort awaits you at "The White Cottage", a family run B&B in a superb tranquil location, high up on the coastal path at Cromer between the Pier and Lighthouse on the east side of the town, yet only two minutes walk to the town, via the coastal path.

Our Twin Room has great sea views, exceptional décor, en-suite bathroom, tea and coffee making facilities, colour TV, electric blankets and a large walk-in wardrobe and many more home comforts.

Our Blue Room is a double room looking out over the wooded area of the town with exceptional décor, en-suite bathroom, tea and coffee making facilities, colour TV, electric blankets and a large walk-in wardrobe and many more home comforts.

Sample our delicious breakfast all cooked with local produce, homemade bread made with local mill flour, from the mill at Letheringsett, homemade marmalade and French coffee, all served in elegant surroundings. In our Dining Room or on the terrace in summer, watching the crab boats come and go, or our cosy Breakfast Room in winter. What better way to start the day!

We offer laundry facilities plus ironing for your use. Packed lunches can be ordered during your stay, special diets can be catered for, such as vegetarian, gluten-free or diabetic, please notify us at the time of booking in order that we can do our best to accommodate your needs.

Cromer is dominated by its Parish Church - thought to be the tallest in Norfolk - the town of Cromer stands atop a cliff overlooking wide clean beaches and the Victorian Pier both of which provide the panoramic views from The White Cottage. The town is famous for its crabs and fishing boats which still work off the beach below The White Cottage bringing fresh catches ashore. In addition to its fine seafood, Cromer has a variety of restaurants; all tastes are catered for from traditional English fare to Chinese and Indian Tandoori.

There are miles of quiet lanes, sandy beaches and spectacular cliff top walks accessible from The White Cottage. Bicycles can be hired locally.

In the summer months the Pavilion Theatre is host to the renowned Seaside Special, the only remaining traditional End-of-the-Pier Show in the country. In August Cromer is at its liveliest especially between the 16th and the 22nd, during the Carnival week with the famous Red Arrows performing on Carnival Day and the procession in the evening which is growing in reputation.

In the summer months we are lucky enough to see the sun both rise (if you get up early) and set over the sea, a rare site in the UK.

If you do not know the area, we have a library of local books you may borrow during your stay; you will probably become addicted to North Norfolk like so many others. Jane Austin wrote in 'Emma', "You should have gone to Cromer, my dear, if you went any where - Perry was a week at Cromer once and he holds it to be the best of all sea bathing places. A fine open sea, he says and very pure air."

Tariff based on two sharing:
Daily rate From £40.00 - £42.00.
Second and subsequent nights From £35.00 - £37.00
Weekly rate less 10%.
Winter rates - 3 nights 10% discount - Sunday to Thursday from November to February (Not including Bank Holidays).
Single room supplement in winter £15.00, full room rate in summer.

Owing to the increased number of guests requesting extremely early arrival times it has become necessary to impose a token supplementary Tariff for such occasions. If, at first glance, this seems a little uncharitable please consider that I have to carry out a complete change around of the room in a very short time, usually incurring extra expense in employing help to achieve this. The supplementary Tariff is £10 per person for Arrival between 12 noon and 4pm.

Closed only at Christmas. We are strictly No-Smoking and are unable to take pets due to having our own. We cannot accommodate children and do not accept Credit Cards.
