Somerton is excellent for walking, cycling, sailing and bird watching, with superb views of the coast and beautiful, unspoilt, sandy beaches just a short walk away at Winterton. Perfect for family days out, there is a wealth of local interest, including the historical village church which is home to the “Norfolk Giant” and nearby there are two traditional family pubs, perfect for a relaxing drink at the end of the day. River boats and yachts can be hired by the hour, half day or day at the nearby village of Martham where you can also find a variety of shops.
If you fancy a drive, the seaside town of Gt. Yarmouth is only 9 miles away and the historical city of Norwich, with its fine cathedral and castle, is a short journey away.
