The Studio (Cley)

If you’re looking for a unique home from home for all the extended family to holiday together, then we have your answer: Look no further. The Studio sleeps 10 ( plus 2 sofa beds, cot, single mattress ) in true shabby Chic laid back fashion, and provides more than ample space for the children to run around and play hide and seek in an unprecious environment. We are located directly opposite the marshes with outstanding panoramic views of the beach and Blakeney Point, and a stones throw walk from Arkwrights beach café, the sea for a quick dip, and the seals for those with their walking boots. Our house is very laid back, complete with hammock, Moroccan wood stove, open fires, wardrobe full of beach stuff, and small playroom to make you feel at home. We also offer a free Broadband connection for those who'd like to bring their laptops to work with a view.

We have old bicycles, a swing, a bench & deckchairs at the front of the house where the evening sunsets can be admired across the marshes once the dirty wellies have been kicked off. At the back we have a beautiful little south facing walled garden, a total suntrap, with a lawn, border flowerbeds, chimilea and garden furniture. Ours is an artists home with rustic character, providing inspiration both inside and out with open sky, reed beds and ever changing colours.

The house comprises of 5 double bedrooms, 3 with stunning panoramic marsh views. There are also 2 sofa beds in rooms downstairs (great for the kids) and a single mattress & a cot for the little ones. There is a sitting room with 2 sofa’s, armchair, open fire and large old dining table which seats 8 ( we have 2 high chairs) complete with TV, video, dvd, CD stereo and piano. There is also a smaller sitting room, another dining room seating 6 and a small childrens playroom next to the kitchen. We have two bathrooms, the smaller one has an electric shower over the bath, the larger bathroom has a free standing bath for two with shower mixer tap. The kitchen overlooks the garden and contains a washing machine and dishwasher, microwave.

This is the place to come to soak up the air and feel alive again! You will find yourself wanting to return year after year with your friends and family.

Please note that smoking at The Studio is outside only.

CONDITIONS

Bookings run from 4pm Friday to 1pm the following Friday.

W/E bookings run from 4pm Friday to 4pm Sunday.

For weekly bookings , please pay half the balance on confirmation of the booking and the rest a month prior to your arrival date.

For weekend bookings the total amount should be paid on confirmation of the booking.

Please state whether you will require linen. We can supply duvet covers, sheets and pillowcases at the cost of £120 for the house, otherwise please bring your own linen. We do not supply towels.

A returnable on departure deposit of £200 should also be sent with the final balance for breakages and accidents.

LOCATION

We are just opposite the Cley beach road on the A149 ( Coast Road ). Our house is on a raised track which runs parallel to the Coast Road.

If you are approaching from the Sheringham direction, just past the Cley next the Sea signs and the 30mph signs, you will see the beach road on your right, turn left up the track and our house is next to the Post Box.

If you are coming from Blakeney, turn left at the bend in Cley, carry on past The George to the Coast Rd. You will see a raised track on your right hand side just past a pink house. We are the third house on the right up the track (opposite the Beach Rd.)
