Originally built in the late eighteenth century as a single storey sail storage shed, this charming two bedroom two bathroom cosy cottage is full of character after being recently renovated to a high standard by its owners. Everything has been thought of like the crabbing lines and nets left for guests in the shed, to make this a perfect retreat for couples or small families coming away to Blakeney.

A limestone floored entrance hall leads to the comfortable sitting room with its original exposed beams and oak flooring. A comfy three seat sofa and armchairs are arranged around the original fireplace with its wonderful, antique wood burning stove. The owners have provided a LCD TV with FreeSat and DVD player for those cosy evenings in! The sunny kitchen, overlooking the garden, is newly installed and has lovely granite work surfaces. It is well equipped and has everything you could need; electric cooker, halogen hob, fridge, microwave and small dishwasher. The round glass table and corner seating offer a light and airy dining area for meals.

The luxurious bathroom has a limestone floor and fabulous roll-top bath with handheld shower attachment and is situated just off the downstairs hall with. The washer/drier cleverly is hidden behind a curtained sideboard.

Upstairs, the double bedroom is inviting with its large brass bed comfortably dressed with crisp white linen. The twin room at the end of the corridor is nicely dressed and looks out over the garden. The owners have cleverly installed a new shower room in the space off the upstairs landing with curved glass door corner shower, WC and washbasin. We can offer a low occupancy rate on this cottage if only one bedroom is used.

Outside and garden

The Cottage is tucked away, set back off the High Street in Blakeney accessed by a footpath. Opposite is the harbour room car park which offers an option for easy and cheap parking nearby. The private courtyard garden gets the afternoon and evening sun and overlooks a shared lawned garden ideal for picnics - this sort of outside space is so unusual in Blakeney.
