True country cottage accommodation, between fields and mature woodland. With the sea just 5 mins away, it's the perfect base for sea and countryside pursuits - dogs love it, and we love to have them here!

Summer Cottage - with its off-road parking - is a short walk over fields from Glandford village, with the famous Shell Museum and church carillon - not forgetting the ducks by the ford! Cley Spy is also there, and there are wonderful walks over the surrounding Bayfield estate, and to the sea.

We look forward to making your stay a really enjoyable one, and we hope to provide you with just the breakfast you would like, using local ingredients where possible.

Location

Holt- the picturesque Georgian market town- is just five minutes away, as are Cley and Blakeney; the latter well known for its beautiful quay and wonderful dinghy sailing, and Blakeney Point, with its seals and seabirds. If you haven't a boat, ferry trips are a great way to visit it.
The unsurpassed beach of Holkham is about 20 minutes away, with Wells and its lively quayside, and beautiful sandy family-friendly beach a little closer.
There are lovely National Trust properties nearby, and the fine city of Norwich is less than an hour away.
During the winter months there is still much to do here! If entertainment is what you need, then Thursford with its organs and the famous Christmas Spectacular is close by.

Glandford, also known as Glanford (possibly deriving from ‘Glaven Ford’ as there is a ford in the river Glaven) is located in the Glaven Valley between Letheringsett and Wiveton on the Blakeney road.
There is an old Watermill there although this has been out of use for many years, and there is also the Glandford Shell Museum.
‘Cley Spy’ is also located here and this provides binoculars, telescopes, clothing and other birdwatching equipment.
You can walk from Glandford through the Bayfield Estate along the river Glaven and the church is also well worth a visit.
Glandford ford is a great place for a picnic with the children and a safe place for them to play in the river.
