Location
SWANTON NOVERS
Swanton Novers is only 15 minutes drive from the north norfolk coast and Blakeney. It is a small peaceful village surrounded by organic meadows and ancient woodlands. Two hundred acres of this woodland is managed by English Nature and forms one of the most important woodland reserves in the country. Of note to birdwatchers and birders, this reserve has one of Britain’s rarest breeding birds, the Honey Buzzard, as a regular summer visitor. Because of the danger of disturbance this part of the reserve has limited access but a raptor watchpoint is provided on the outskirts of the village. Many species of raptor may be observed there. Public footpaths access other parts of the woodland and village.
The very popular town of Holt is only 6 miles and the Thursford Collection and Christmas Spectacular is only 7 minutes drive.
EATING OUT
There are excellent pubs serving evening meals in many of the surrounding villages. Alternatively you can order takaway delivery to eat in your lounge - dining room
