More Details

Sheringham beach, with its sand and rock pools, tends to disappear at high tide. At low tide it is a great beach for swimming and surfing with large expanses of flat sand between the breakwaters. It has won a Blue Flag award for cleanliness. Lifeguards are on duty from spring bank holiday weekend to the end of the school summer holidays in September.
Dogs are banned from the main beach area during this period.
The beach has toilets, beach huts and a public shower. There is easy access to cafés and amusement arcades shops and usual small town facilities including The Little Theatre in the centre. The North Norfolk Steam Railway which now connects Holt to Norwich is at the top of the main street.
There is a large car park adjacent, about ten-minutes walk from the beach. Splash Leisure Centre and Sheringham Golf Course are further along the A149 Weybourne Rd. There are regular bus services towards Holt, Weyboune and Cromer or foot paths for walkers.

Sheringham is one of Norfolks most quintessential seaside towns.
A wonderful selection of shops, cafes, restaurants, stalls and hotels meander all the way down to the sea front, where a good stretch of sand is exposed at low tide for families to play on.
In the centre of town in the old Station you can find one the North Norfolk Steam Railway, a fully functioning steam train which runs along from here to Holt Station.
Further around the coast to the East a clifftop path leads to Beeston Bump, one of the highest points along the Norfolk coast which affords excellent views over the surrounding area. The town has plenty going on, with a market on Wednesdays and Saturdays, as well as a great selection of shops, cafes and restaurants, and the Sheringham Little Theatre.
