Location

Scaldbeck Cottage, traditional brick and flint family home situated on the West edge of Morston Marsh. Two minutes from Morston Quay on the North Norfolk Coastal Path.

Ideal for walkers and bird watchers. Or bring your own boat and launch it on the tide, go Gillie-crab fishing, sunbathe on sandy beaches or mud-slide into the creek.

A quiet place where you can get away from the noise and rush of city life.

Although Morston doesn’t have a beach as such, there is a bustling quay with plenty of moorings for local boating enthusiasts.
The quay also acts as a departure point for the popular seal trips out to view the seals on Blakeney Point. It is also possible to get a boat from here to Blakeney Point itself, which is one of the most remote and secluded beaches in Norfolk.

The Morston car park has a cafe, and is a good point to set off on walks, either East to Blakeney, or West to the Freshes creek. The village of Morston itself is small, but there is a gallery here and the nearby Morston Hall has a highly recommended restaurant.
