FUN FOR THE KIDS!
Looking for ways to entertain the kids over the summer? Fed up with the sounds of video games and cartoons filling the house? Then look no further than Titchwell Marsh! Between 24th July and 31st August, Titchwell will be hosting our annual Family Area filled with a variety of exciting events and activities aimed at children (and fun-loving adults) of all ages. Pack up a picnic and join the fun!

Have a go at bird bingo, peer at creepy-crawlies through a microscope and hunt for mini-beasts down Bug Alley! There will also be activities such as colouring competitions (with prizes for the winners!), a nature trail, badge making and owl-pelleting: all free!

Additionally, you can take part in pond-dipping sessions around the reserve; but due to a limited number of spaces you will need to book a place, and a small fee of £3 per adult will apply (children go free, but must be accompanied by at an adult). Call our Visitor Centre on 01485 210779 for more information.

The event was a huge success last year with over 1500 children enjoying the activities on offer. We got loads of great feedback; some families came 3, or even 4, times.

All activities will be taking place 24th July – 31st August, Sundays to Thursdays between 10am and 3pm.
With so much to do and so many species of wildlife to spot and learn about, Titchwell Marsh is a brilliant place to spend the day getting enthusiastic about nature. Come and see for yourself! We look forward to your visit.

Titchwell is home to one of Norfolk’s RSPB nature reserves, and the 1 mile walk to the beach from the car park here is dotted with several bird hides, which afford great views of some of the local bird life.
On the beach itself you can see an old WWII pill box, originally built in the sand dunes, the structure is now in the middle of the beach due to erosion. The nature reserve itself has its own visitor centre, as well as several nature trails to follow.
