Coltishall is a pretty village on the River Bure just upstream of Hoveton and Wroxham where you can hire day boats for a trip on the Broads. The village has plenty of amenities - a garage selling fuel with a small shop, several pubs, a Thai restaurant, cafes and small shops.
Coltishall has a large green on the bank of the river which is a great place for a picnic, watching the boats and a bit of fishing.
The neighbouring village of Horstead just over the river has a good pub The Recruiting Sergeant which also serves excellent food. Coltishall is not far from Norwich. There are holiday cottages to rent in Coltishall and it a good location for a holiday and exploring Norfolk
