A charming family cottage in Blakeney on the beautiful North Norfolk coast which is designated as an area of outstanding natural beauty. The Old Bakery sleeps 6 in 3 bedrooms and is furnished in elegant style. It may be rented alone or in conjunction with Cley Windmill, 5 minutes away, where dining is also available.

The cottage dates from 1890 and is built from the typical local flints. It stands near the top of the High Street in Blakeney which leads to the quay. The renowned Blakeney Deli is a short distance further down.
Completely and extensively refurbished in the autumn of 2010, The Old Bakery is a light and spacious cottage for 6 people and a baby, with 3 bedrooms (2 twins and 1 double), 1 family bathroom with bath and separate shower and 2 ensuites with loos & basins.
The rooms are furnished with a mixture of antiques and high quality contemporary designs, complimented by natural fabrics in calm tones.
In addition to the bedrooms there is a large well-equipped kitchen / dining room, an elegant sitting room with piano, woodburning stove, TV & DVD and squashy leather sofas and a light-filled summer sitting room with sofas and dining table leading from the courtyard.
Wifi, tolietries and a welcome basket are provided as are the obligatory crab lines!

Sheltered by Blakeney point, the Village of Blakeney is one of the most picturesque in Norfolk. Crabbing off the quay is a popular pastime with children.
In the evening the sun sets over the creek, creating some truly breathtaking views.
Seal trips take holidaymakers to Blakeney Point, although they mostly leave from Morston the neighbouring village along the coast as the channel in Blakeney is now very silted. You can see the seals as they bask on the sand of Blakeney point.
Blakeney regatta takes place on the last weekend in July each year, with hundreds of people coming together to participate in (or just watch) a fantastic array of swimming races, tug-of-war across the creek, and of course the infamous greasy pole competition.

Blakeney is located on the North Norfolk Coast, just North of the small market town of Holt.
This part of the coastline has been designated an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty ANOB and the marshes and wide open spaces around Blakeney make it a haven for migratory birds and wildlife.

Blakeney used to be a small port, but is now a quiet village and provides an ideal location for a family holiday. There are two hotels, a number of holiday cottages to rent, and several B&Bs.

The village has a strong identity, and is a thriving and active community. There is a small supermarket, butchers, fishmongers, and chandlers, pubs and a post office as well a range of shops for holidaymakers
