A RYA Training Centre specialising in Powercraft and based at Lowestoft Haven Marina where we enjoy both the marina facilities and 24hr access to the water. In addition to the entire range of RYA Coastal Powerboat Courses from absolute beginners to Advanced, we can also offer own boat tuition wherever your craft is based. International Certificate of Competence ICC Courses, including up to 24 metres loa.

Our flagship is Ocean Pirate, a Brooke Marine 44, MCA coded and an entrant in the 1968 and 2008 Round Britain Powerboat Raceand now used for RYA Courses. Own boat tuition welcomed, also assisted passages UK & Europe. Shore based Courses include VHF-SRC monthly First Aid, Diesel Engine Maintenance and Day Skipper Theory .

We also offer RYA Courses on RIBS, Sportsboats and for those who prefer the natural beauty and quiet of the Inland Waterways we can now provide the RYA Inland Waterways Helmsmans Course on the Norfolk Broads. Day Cruises on the Norfolk Broads also arranged.

We are more than happy to provide tuition on your own boat, whether based at Blakeney, Lowestoft, Broads or elsewhere. Assistance with delivery trips is possible - often combining the passage with the appropriate RYA Course.

All of our Instructors are RYA qualified, and highly knowledgeable around the tidal waters of the East Coast, and have trained members of the Norfolk Police Broadsbeat, Environment Agency, Light Dragoons, Harbour Authority personnel and Mundesley,Hemsby and Sea Palling Volunteer Lifeboats and RNLI Happisburgh.

Sheltered by Blakeney point, the Village of Blakeney is one of the most picturesque in Norfolk. Crabbing off the quay is a popular pastime with children.
In the evening the sun sets over the creek, creating some truly breathtaking views.
Seal trips take holidaymakers to Blakeney Point, although they mostly leave from Morston the neighbouring village along the coast as the channel in Blakeney is now very silted. You can see the seals as they bask on the sand of Blakeney point.
Blakeney regatta takes place on the last weekend in July each year, with hundreds of people coming together to participate in (or just watch) a fantastic array of swimming races, tug-of-war across the creek, and of course the infamous greasy pole competition.

Blakeney is located on the North Norfolk Coast, just North of the small market town of Holt.
This part of the coastline has been designated an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty ANOB and the marshes and wide open spaces around Blakeney make it a haven for migratory birds and wildlife.

Blakeney used to be a small port, but is now a quiet village and provides an ideal location for a family holiday. There are two hotels, a number of holiday cottages to rent, and several B&Bs.

The village has a strong identity, and is a thriving and active community. There is a small supermarket, butchers, fishmongers, and chandlers, pubs and a post office as well a range of shops for holidaymakers
