Inside the property

Mulberry Cottage is a semi-detached timber barn style property with lots of character which is available to rent as a holiday cottage. Fantastic location next to the marsh. This building underwent a radical transformation during 2004-2006 to be as you see it today.

The cottage offers comfortable accommodation on two levels. Stripped pine flooring with rugs. There are far reaching views across open fields on all three sides.

On the ground floor:

Large modern family kitchen with dining table, when extended will seat 10. The kitchen is fully equipped with modern appliances, microwave, dishwasher, washing machine and fridge-freezer.
Living room with 32 inch wide-screen digital TV, DVD, VCR. Two good sized double bedrooms one with double-bed the other with two singles.
Bathroom with full size bath and separate shower cubicle.

On the first floor:
Master bedroom with king-size bed and views towards the coast and Blakeney. Has a tv and small sofa. The fourth bedroom has full size bunkbeds. Bathroom with big shower cubicle.

Weekend lets are available in off peek periods. Rates vary depending on number of people. Prices start from as low as £300.00 for a couple. Weekend is defined as arriving after 16.00hrs on Friday and leaving prior to 10.00hrs on Monday.

Full oil fired central heating. No smoking policy. Dogs with well-behaved owners are welcome with a maximum of two dogs unless by prior arrangement.

Duvets, pillows and blankets are provided.
You have a choice of bringing your own linen and towels or we can provide them, for additional fee.

Mulberry Cottage shares its location with its other half Samphire Cottage and a detached cottage Hawthorns both sleeping 8 so if you are looking for accommodation for up to 16 or 24 people, this may be possible by booking all three properties.

Sleeps 8, Central heating included in price, close proximity to marshes, quiet rural location.
Lets run from Saturday to Saturday.

Outside and garden

There is a patio with wooden furniture. A large garden laid to lawn surrounded with a stock proof fence to keep children and dogs in. Ample parking.

There is a footpath at the bottom of the garden - Hollow Lane - accessed by a gate which leads to the marsh on one hand and 10 mins walk to the pretty flint village of Stiffkey on the other.

A west facing verandah runs along the front of the cottage, perfect for afternoon tea or evening drinks whilst watching the sun go down. There is an open front garden, on one side there is a set-aside field and the other adjoins the turning circle. There is parking for several cars.

Surrounding area

Mulberry Cottage is perfectly located for those wishing to explore this area of outstanding natural beauty. It is close to the marsh which amongst other things is a designated site of special scientific interest. Private gated access road with only three other properties in the immediate vicinity. The area is renowned as an ornithological magnate particularly during migration.

There is a little tern breeding colony on the Marsh - April to July. This is also one of the few places in the Country that you find common and grey seals together. These can be veiwed by a boat trip from one of the boatman working out of Morston and Blakeney.

Stiffkey has a freehouse pub and Post Office/general stores.
