Mill Cottage, once home to farm workers, was built in 1822 and extended in 1895 to become the large cottage. A working Mill built in 1575 stood in the grounds and was in use daily. Converted to steam power in 1912 and falling out of use in the late 1920's. All traces have now vanished within the grounds consisting of nearly one acre.

Restoration of the Cottage has taken place within the last few years. Ancient and modern having been blended to retain character charm and comfort. Log fires, wood burner and central heating together with low ceilings and 14 inch thick flint walls and pine and oak beams. Original latch doors complete the picture.

MILL COTTAGE ROOMS

Sheringham is one of Norfolks most quintessential seaside towns.
A wonderful selection of shops, cafes, restaurants, stalls and hotels meander all the way down to the sea front, where a good stretch of sand is exposed at low tide for families to play on.
In the centre of town in the old Station you can find one the North Norfolk Steam Railway, a fully functioning steam train which runs along from here to Holt Station.
Further around the coast to the East a clifftop path leads to Beeston Bump, one of the highest points along the Norfolk coast which affords excellent views over the surrounding area. The town has plenty going on, with a market on Wednesdays and Saturdays, as well as a great selection of shops, cafes and restaurants, and the Sheringham Little Theatre.
