“Lindum” - Holiday house at Brancaster on the North Norfolk Coast
Enjoy a stay in our spacious, extended end terraced house Situated down a quiet lane in the North Norfolk coastal village of Brancaster which is an area of outstanding natural beauty. Our well equipped house sleeps 8 with a travel cot which is available. A bedguard for toddlers and stairgate are also provided. Lindum is ideally situated within easy walking distance to the coastal path and there are many things to see and do in the local area. This is an excellent area for nature lovers and bird watchers with reserves at nearby Titchwell, Holme, Scolt Head Island and Snettisham.


ACCOMMODATION
Downstairs accommodation consists of a through lounge diner, kitchen, utility area and toilet.Patio doors open onto the garden from the lounge diner. There is also a second smaller lounge with adjacent shower room.This room contains a single 'Z' bed allowing it to be used as a ground floor bedroom for those who find it difficult to climb stairs.
Lindum has four well decorated bedrooms 2 double and 2 twin bedrooms thereby sleeping 8 people, plus a travel cot for babies. A bedguard for toddlers and a stairgate are also provided. Upstairs there is also a family bathroom with an over bath shower.

Bed linen is provided for the beds but not the travel cot, please bring your own. Towels are not provided.

OUTSIDE
The garden is enclosed and there is parking for 3 cars on the drive, plus space for a small boat. Patio furniture is provided plus a metal table which can be used for disposable BBQs. The garden shed can be used to store bikes and beach equipment.

OTHER INFORMATION
From 1st Oct to 30th April, Lindum is heated by oil central heating and from 1st May to 30th Sept, it is heated by electric fires.The cost is included in the hire.

Well behaved dogs are welcome but must remain downstairs and are not allowed to sleep on the chairs. Please bring your own bowls, bedding and towels to wipe paws!

No smoking indoors.

LOCATION & LOCAL AMENITIES
Lindum is located in an area of outstanding natural beauty and is within easy walking distance to the Coastal Path, beach, pub serving good food, shop, post office and church. Most of the coastline around Brancaster is owned by the National Trust and consists of miles and miles of sandy beaches. A fort stood here in Roman times, Branoduni Castra, its purpose to protect the north coast against marauding Frankish and Saxon pirates. The village was then known as Branodunum. Unfortunately, nothing now remains of the stronghold except some ditches to the east of the village and a street named Branodunum.

This is an excellent area for nature lovers and bird watchers with reserves at nearby Titchwell, Holme, Scolt Head Island and Snettisham. Other attractions include the golf course, ,sailing from Brancaster Staithe, Stately homes such as Holkham Hall, Houghton Hall and Sandringham plus the Victorian seaside town of Hunstanton. There are many good restaurants and pubs in the vicinity.
