Location

Just three miles from the sea and situated in the pretty, unspoilt village of Binham with its landmark priory ruins, Lavender Cottage is a delightful brick and flint listed Norfolk cottage dating from 1709

The cottage is only steps away from an amazing village shop which sells just about everything, and there is also a homely village pub The Chequers which serves homemade lunchtime and evening food, as well as their own range of mico-brewery beers.

Binham is a wonderful place for a holiday. It is a lovely unspoilt village next to the ruins of the 12th Century Binham Priory. The Priory stands on the rolling fields above the valley of the river Stiffkey, along which the Barnack Limestone for the building work was shipped, having come by river and sea from Northamptonshire, via the local port of Wells. The village of Binham is well-supplied with a local grocery store, a butcher and Grazier, a Petrol pump, and the friendly and welcoming Chequers Inn which has good food and also brews its own beer.
Binham is conveniently close to the North Norfolk Coast, with Wells-Next-the-Sea only 5 miles away. Burnham Market, Holt, and Walsingham are also all within ten miles.
