Inside the property

The two double bedrooms, one overlooking the garden and the other Jolly Sailor Yard, are very spacious good-sized rooms with wardrobe space and decorative fireplaces . Both single rooms also have views over the garden to the front and one has a superb brick and wood Tudor fireplace which must be original to the house and therefore over 400 years old. There is a family bathroom on the first-floor and a further bathroom with a shower cubicle and a separate toilet on the ground floor.

The spacious ‘ lookout’ room is a most unusual feature. Accessed by fairly steep stairs from the large utility/boot room it provides sea views to the front of the cottage over the rooftops to the sea and marshes beyond. Comfortably furnished it is an ideal room in which to relax with a glass of wine and a good book .

The kitchen diner is newly fitted in a cream Shaker style finish with plenty of storage cupboards and very well equipped. It is a sociable room with the dining table in the centre and for more spacious formal eating there is a large elegant dining room. Accessed from the hall is the sitting room which again is large and spacious with a brick built fireplace.

Outside and garden

Outside there is a lawned garden to the front of the cottage and a pretty courtyard to the rear.

Parking is on the seafront and is private to Jolly Sailors guests. Additional spaces are available opposite the cottage on a first come first served basis.

All in all this is a splendid, well renovated cottage very tastefully presented and is ideally located in the sought after East End of this seaside town.
