Only eight miles to the North of Great Snoring, is the town voted one of the top two small seaside towns in England, Wells-next-the-Sea. The North Norfolk coast is very varied, it has salt marshes, ideal for bird watching, and excellent sandy beaches.
The local area also boasts many National Trust properties, Houghton Hall, Blickling, and Felbrigg being just a few of them. Holkham Hall is also open to the public in the summer months, and is within easy reach of the Cottage.

North Norfolk has lots of local pubs and fine restaurants, including The Hoste Arms at Burnham Market, and Morston Hall.
