AA Five Diamond Guest Accommodation of the Year for England 20045
Winner of B&BGuesthouse of the year as judged by the East OF England Tourist Board for regional Excellence in England.

Peter Birnie the AA's Chief Hotel Inspector, says: The winner has worked hard to ensure they provide the closest ideal of what a Guesthouse should be, offering warm hospitality, beautiful locations, and excellent food.

This award represents the inspectors personal choice;
Somewhere they would choose to stay themselves or would enthusiastically recommend to friends, and family.

This award is the pinnacle of achievement for B&B's in England.

AA judges said of Holly Lodge: A warm welcome, and genuine hospitality has been apparent on each of our inspections. The beautiful location, and surroundings of this 18th century property add to the charm of this delightful North Norfolk B&B.

Holly Lodge dates back to the early 18th Century, and enjoys a splendid picturesque rural setting behind a fruit orchard in an acre of beautiful gardens and introducing our new large wildlife pond and water gardens with sundeck and jetty, perfect for a relaxing afternoon, and leading onto open farmland at the rear of the property.

The three en-suite guest cottages are set adjacent to the house and have been carved beautifully from the former stable block; each one refurbished in an individual period style:
Country cottage with its New England feel -
Colonial cottage with far eastern, nostalgic, tropical influences -
Claret cottage with medieval charm and grand four-poster.

Each cottage has an en-suite bathroom, teacoffee making facilities, and a colour television. All have sitting areas and are sumptuously furnished.

A fine cooked breakfast is served in the dining room or terrace lounge in the very atmospheric period surroundings of the main house.

Holly Lodge, surrounded by open farmland, combines both traditional, and contemporary style with beautiful furniture, and tasteful pieces that create a welcoming atmosphere. The stylish cottage suite bedrooms are in a terrace of three converted stables, and each room is decorated, and equipped with a host of useful extras.

There is also a beautiful conservatory, and a private guest lounge.

Holly Lodge is conveniently located near many places of interest such as the Thursford Museum, Blakeney, Walsingham, Holt, Cley and Wells and magnificent country houses like Blickling, Felbrigg, Holkham and Royal Sandringham, and the stretches of beautiful un-spoilt North Norfolk beaches such as Holkham and Brancaster. There are many famous nature reserves and wildlife parks set within miles of outstanding panoramic countryside to explore, with great pubs and restaurants dotted around in traditional, picturesque villages.
