Holkham Hall in Holkham

About Holkham Hall

Holkham Hall is one of Britain’s most majestic stately homes. Situated on the beautiful north Norfolk coast, this classic 18th century Palladian style mansion is a living treasure house of artistic and architectural history. Home to seven generations of the Earls of Leicester, it has something for everyone. See the stunning grandeur of the Marble Hall, the magnificence of the State Rooms and the sheer size of the Old Kitchen, complete with its original pots and pans. Designated walks, cycle hire and a nature trail offer visitors the opportunity to explore the sweeping parkland.

Other attractions:
The Bygones Museum, with its displays of domestic and agricultural memorabilia, invites visitors to relive memories or learn about life in times gone by.

Holkham Beach with its big skies, sweeping sand stretching for miles and framed by shady pinewoods, is a haven for dog walkers, horse riders, bird watchers and walkers.

With so much to see and do what better way to explore than on two wheels. Bikes are available on high days and holidays to hire from Holkham byCycle, in the courtyard. For rates and availability see www.cyclenorfolk.co.uk
