Great Snoring is an unspoilt and peaceful Conservation village, with the River Stiffkey flowing around the outskirts. The mediaeval village of Walsingham with shops and pubs is 2 miles away, if you fancy walking there you can take the scenic bridal path!
Set in a rural setting by the River Stiffkey, the village of Great Snoring is clustered around its church and old Rectory.
It is recorded in the Domesday Book as 'Esnaringa1, also mentioned was a water mill, now depicted on the village sign. The village is still quite unspoilt and one of the most peaceful villages in North Norfolk.
The fine church which dates from the 13 century and has an interesting Perpendicular tower with living accommodation.
