Walking
Try North Norfolk for a walking holiday. Although perhaps not as hilly as other parts of the country, North Norfolk has wonderful countryside to explore with plenty of pubs en route. There are many quiet lanes and tracks including The Peddars Way, an ancient and historic route. Peddars Way covers 46 miles from Suffolk to Holme on the North Norfolk coast where it joins up with the Norfolk Coast Path. The Norfolk Coast Path leads east to Cromer joining with Weavers Way covering a further 56 miles to Great Yarmouth.

Sailing
There is some challenging dinghy sailing to be had along the coast with
dinghy hire and sailing tuition available. There are also places popular
with sailboarders, windsurfers and surfers. See our Coastal section.

Cycling
North Norfolk is a great place for a cycling holiday - it is relatively flat and has an abundance of quiet lanes and tracks ideal for bicycles. Cycling is a great way to get around, avoids car parking congestion and helps minimise traffic. Take the pressure off - get on a bike! Bring your bikes with you or there is local cycle hire.

Birding & Birdwatching.
Here are a few local reserves for bird watching in North Norfolk although you can find birds and wildlife throughout the county. Blakeney Point - National Trust, Brancaster Staithe - National Trust, Cley Marshes - Norfolk Wildlife Trust, Holme Bird Observatory Reserve - Norfolk Ornithologists Association, Pensthorpe Waterfowl Park & Nature Reserve, Snettisham Reserve - RSPB, Titchwell Marsh - RSPB, Kelling Heath.
