At holiday times you may need to make bookings at some of the busier pubs and restaurants, especially at weekends, to be sure of getting a table.
As well as traditional fish and chips, there are other takeaway restaurants offering Indian & Thai food, Chinese cuisine, kebabs, pizza, burgers, chicken and other dishes.
If you are going out for a drink, you will find a good selection of real ales, and many of the local restaurants have excellent wine lists.
