Friary, The (Blakeney)

The Friary offers holiday accommodation for up to 8 people in a 17th Century house overlooking Blakeney harbour.

The house dates from 1654 and is situated in a commanding position overlooking Blakeney Harbour and the marshes. There are many signs of its age, with timbered ceilings and large fire-places but we have also been aware of the needs of modern living. The kitchen-cum-dining-room tries to include the best of both worlds. The house has accommodation for up to 8 people.

There is a large walled garden which not only provides good play-space for all ages but also acts as a sun-trap in the summer. A raised look-out point gives views over the Marshes and beyond to the North Sea. The quay and shops, including the Post Office, are all within 500 metres of the house.

· Larger Twin Bedded green Room 5.2m x 3.3m, overlooking garden. Both 3`0 0.9m beds. Basin.
· Bathroom 2.2m x 2m with bath, shower and basin.

NOTES:

a Night storage heaters are in all rooms except the bedroom with the hot-water tank.
b A cot of 4`6 x 2`6 1.35 x 0.75m, and high chair are provided.
c Linen, sheets or duvet cover+sheet, pillowcases and a towel per person, is available on request at an additional charge. Blankets and Duvets will be provided, also Bathmats; but please bring your own beach towels and teahand towels.
d Well behaved dogs are welcome but, please, no cats.
e The cost of your telephone calls can be calculated at the end of your stay by means of the charge- checker, with the necessary cash or cheque being left by the phone.
f Lettings run from Saturday to Saturday. They begin at 3pm and the property must be vacated by 10am on the last day. Weekends are not usually on offer
g Groceries are available at Spar Stores in Blakeney, Budgens in Holt and Morrisons & Tesco in Fakenham.
h Parking outside the gate, along the drive or in nearby car parks.
