Location

Flagstaff House was once the home of Captain Woodget of the Cutty Sark and is situated in a prime position at Burnham Overy Staithe.

Just outside your door is the sandy creek, a salt water inlet running in from the sea. At low tide the shallow waters are perfect for paddling and at high tide the creek provides perfect sailing waters.

Behind the picturesque sand dunes and flat sandy beach at Burnham Overy Staithe, the village itself is a quiet spot, formerly a small fishing port, and reportedly where Horatio Nelson first learned to row and sail.

Burnham Overy Staithe is a small village, but the Hero bar/restaurant serves great locally sourced food and nearby Burnham Market has a wealth of shops and restaurants.
