More Details

Ducksdrift offers cosy cottage accommodation fronted by the River Burn in the pretty village of South Creake. Our newly renovated bedrooms have modern en-suite bathrooms with guests having the use of a comfortable cottage lounge.

Breakfast is cooked on our Aga from locally sourced foods, eggs from Kerrie's clucking hens, sausages and bacon from the local farmer, with bread coming from our own kitchen - can't you just smell it?. We will happily provide a simple supper from seasonal fare by request. If you have dietary consideration please let us know. Vegetarians are welcomed.

South Creake is well positioned as a base for visiting and spending leisure time in this wonderful part of the country.

A friendly welcome awaits you at Ducksdrift from us and the ducks paddling up and down the river.

Open all year round including Christmas and New Year.

We regret that the house is not suitable for children under the age of 11 years old.

Outside Features

Local is best, supporting our own local producers and caring for the enviroment is important to us. With that in mind we have fitted solar water heating technology which keeps your water hot, whilst reducing power usage by 65%.

South Creake lies between Fakenham and Burnham Market and the River Burn flows through the village. The village has a pub The Ostrich Inn which offers food and drink and has also recently opened a tea room.
Fakenham is not far for provisions and has shops, supermarkets, pubs, restaurants, garages for fuel etc.
Being close to the coast, South Creake is well situated for a holiday. In the summer there is the ‘Jelly Fest’ music festival in the grounds of Compton hall which is proving more popular year on year
